My favourite Orchid is flowering again, after an absence of flowers for 2 years, because of heavy frosts. the photos were taken one month apart as the flowers opened.

my parents love orchids as they lasted a long time. Did you cut the spray from when they were buds ? How long did they last?

My dad used to be an orchid fanatic and grew them in the whole garden. I was freaking out cos I had to water them all daily and that took 2 hours!
Beautiful cymbidiums. We love growing them here in California because they are considered "deer-proof". Who would have guessed that these beautiful flowers would taste bitter?
