Stephanie's 9th birthday party

Pet Pride, for the big orange Garfield cat toy!

Summer Stock Sunday.
We were invited to another important birthday party, Stephanie our youngest grand daughters 9th birthday. She had many guests both young and old to celebrate her day, a bubble machine supplied an endless stream of colourful glinting bubbles that danced around the girls as they played on a delightfully hot Spring day.
The girls had a big orange Garfield that was fulled with sweets to play toss with till he fell to pieces and all the candy was gobbled up quickly, there was all the old fashioned games like pass the parcel, musical chairs, pin the nose on the clown and hide and seek games all with prizes for the winner.
Then all the food came out and children descended like locusts and quickly there was very little left. A chocolate mud cake was the birthday cake with candles that we couldn't keep burning in the gentle breeze, but Stephanie cut it anyway, it was delicious.

What a fun party she had. I love the idea of a bubble machine, I wonder if they rent those here...

What a sweeeeeeet Summer happening! Looks like those girls had a really good time - and I love the outfits! They are toooo cute! I have never heard of playing TOSS with candy filled "thing"... only beating them to death! That is a GREAT idea!

I've given a lot of thought to why parties were so much more fun when we were small, and have decided that it mostly comes down to pink frosting and frilly dresses...so I try to indulge in both occasionally! But I now see that bubbles, musical chairs, and pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey had a great deal to do with it, too. Thanks for sharing. Very sweet.

Garfield looks like a Pinata. In Mexico, you'd hang up. Someone holds the other end of the string to control it's height. Then each child takes a swing at it, trying to bring it up so all the candy falls out.

Looks like everyone had fun!

I want to be a child again and have all that fun partys but it also fun to see when my children laugh at at party I have done for here. My oldiset dotter will bee 9 in November.

Yes we did have a lobster and I saw that you met a Taxi diver that hade his snake to work.
